“I was recommended Superb Dental Care by a coworker and I was glad they did. Setting up an appointment over the phone was quick and easy. After telling them I was coming in with a pain in one tooth, I was told my first visit would be x-rays and assessment and that the corrective procedure would happen at a later date. Turned out I needed a root canal and fast. Despite their initial plan of correcting it at a later date, Dr. Barbon asked if I was free that day and offered to do it then and there. I agreed and they quickly got to work. I did feel a little rushed through the paperwork but I’m sure they weren’t expecting an hour long root canal first thing in the morning; and it got me out of there faster and on with my day so it wasn’t a big deal. The procedure went well. Dr. Barbon made sure to thoroughly numb the entire area he worked on, and I almost didn’t feel a thing (it’s hard to ignore a drill on your tooth). Overall it was a great experience and have since recommended them to the rest of my immediate family.“

“Superb Dental in Pasadena is definitely superb! Being a bit nervous and leery when it comes to the dentist office, it was surprising how communicative and gentle Dr. Barbon and his staff were. Dr. Barbon had a steady hand and kind words when he sensed my nerves were getting the best of me. Dr. Barbon was very patient and showed that he genuinely cared if I was okay when he was deep cleaning my teeth. The needles are scary to say the least and his numbing technique is one for the books. His secret is…slow and steady introduction of the numbing agent into the gums….makes such a huge difference in the potential pain experience! My last dentist treated me as a number and didn’t communicate to me that the needle was coming…how frightening when you don’t know what to expect! Feelings of powerlessness & fear of the unknown were what I learned to expect from my last dentist. Dr. Barbon is very respectful of his staff and this helps because the team can focus on the care of the patient instead of the bad feelings of the Dr.! “I first came to Dr Barbon after having an extremely painful tooth ache that shot up to my head. It kept me up all night. Dr Barbon’s staff was able to work with me and get me in to see the Dr. I switched to Dr. Barbon from another dentist who had worked on the same tooth five months prior and I wanted to get a second opinion because my former dentist had outdated equipments and an outdated facility. Dr. Barbon’s office is new and fresh. He has modern equipments and you can even watch a movie while getting your teeth worked on.
The doctor is very gentle and I hardly felt anything when he injected the novacain. Both of the ladies that work at the facility are also very sweet and competent. I’m impressed with what Jocelyn, the dental assistant’s knowledge. She knows a lot more than any dental assistants I’ve ever seen in my life. This means that she has a great mentor who is dedicated to the success of his staff and his practice.

“This place is great! As soon as you walk in to Dr. Barbon’s office, you can already tell that the place is very clean and very well maintained (first impressions count!). The receptionist welcomed me with a smile and asked me how my day was going. The receptionist and the rest of the staff are really friendly and personable. I brought a book with me just in case I have to wait, but they called me in right away. I did not have to wait! And I really like that.
Dr. Barbon was awesome! He introduced himself, took his time explaining the procedure, and answered all of my questions. Trust me, I asked a LOT of questions and he patiently answered all of them. I really like that he took his time with me and I never felt rushed during the whole conversation.
